level is the certification program for the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturer's Association's (BIFMA) furniture sustainability standard. BIFMA has established level™ as a common framework against which to evaluate the environmental and social responsibility of a variety of products. level™ is part of BIFMA's ongoing development of voluntary product and industry standards that support safe, healthy and sustainable workplaces. To achieve level™ certification, Knoll partners with Scientific Certification Systems (SCS), known for its integrity and scientific rigor. In the BIFMA level certification process, a product, the organization and facilities that produced it are scored according to sustainability criteria in four areas: Materials; Energy and Atmosphere; Human and Ecosystem Health; and Social Responsibility.

Its innovative design and engineering make it easy to assemble, simple to use, durable and stylish. Its efficient use of materials, parts and labor is also environmentally smart. Designed with its life cycle in mind, Chadwick comes with a 12 year, 7 days a week, multishift use warranty. It is designed for ease of disassembly so that parts can be removed and replaced.

Chadwick and SMaRT© Rated Sustainable Gold by the SMaRT© Sustainable Product Standard, Chadwick was the second product in the furniture industry to be SMaRT© certified.
