Facebook For Small Business – Some Great Marketing Tips It has always surprised me how many small businesses are not using Facebook to promote their products and services. Facebook for Small Business should be, in my opinion, a crucial component of any small businesses marketing strategy. Facebook announced that one billion people are using its platform at least once a month. Since its launch, 1.13 trillion likes and 140.3 billion friend connections were generated, with 219 billion photos shared since the launch of this application in the fall of 2005, which represent the total number of photos currently on the site, excluding deleted photos. If you don’t think that Facebook can benefit Small Business then I would like you to call me so I can put you straight!

Facebook For Small Business With careful marketing and following some simple rules any small business can use Facebook to promote and market their products or services. Here are eight top Facebook strategies that can help increase visibility, improve engagement, and drive more traffic to your authority website. 1. Post Outside of Normal Business Hours A study by ExactTarget says that 65 percent of Facebook users only use Facebook when they’re “not at work or school – typically meaning early morning or evening.” That makes sense due to the fact that many workplaces prohibit access to Facebook. This would suggest that only using Facebook for Small Business during business hours may result in businesses missing a sizable portion of one’s target market. 2. Tell Fans What You Want Them to Do If you want Fans to “Like” your post, instruct them to do so. Small businesses should use Facebook to encourage engagement remembering to tell its audience what it wants then to do. 3. Include Exclusive Offers and Discounts Cater to your Fans by providing special offers, discount coupons, and other content exclusively for them. Social commerce company VendorShop Social reported that 76 percent of businesses that were successful in using Facebook to increase sales launched a new product to their Facebook stores first or ran promotions exclusive to Facebook.

One easy way to use Facebook for Small Businesses to do this is through a new form of advertising called Facebook Offers. With Facebook Offers, businesses can share discounts with customers by posting an offer on their Facebook pages, which then appears in Fans’ news feeds, increasing visibility. 4. Pin Posts to the Top Facebook provides a function where Fan page administrators can “pin” posts to the top so that they are more visible over a longer period of time. 5. Use Promoted Posts Another new form of advertising is Promoted Posts. Promoted Posts increase the potential reach of a given post so an even larger percentage of your audience and the friends of those interacting with your post will see it. 6. Ask Poll Questions When you use Facebook for Small Business you should create polls and ask questions. This type of post turns a broadcast message into an interactive conversation with Fans, and is in keeping with Facebook’s true nature as a social network. Use poll questions to get feedback, recommendations, and learn from your Fans. 7. Highlight Posts Using Facebook for Small Business gives you the ability to highlight important posts. Facebook Timeline is divided into two columns. Highlighting a post causes it to span both columns. The increased space makes the post more prominent and gives it a greater sense of importance. 8. Use Videos and Images Video is highly engaging and involves more of the senses than the written word. The same can be said of images. Small businesses can take advantage of this to bring a different dimension to their marketing campaigns. Facebook For Small Business – Some Great Marketing Tips
