Facebook Marketing Tips Facebook has proven itself time and time again as the most powerful social network. It’s not only important for social engagement amongst friends, but also for businesspeople because Facebook gives everyone an effective marketing strategy. But for many people Facebook marketing isn’t easy. This is why I have bought you some great FACEBOOK MARKETING TIPS to make your Facebook page stand out. 1. Basics When talking about Facebook Marketing Tips we start with the four basics:
Page Name Username Brief “About” Long “About”
Page Name – We should make sure that your page name is less than 25 characters so that if you ever use Facebook Ads it does not cut your name off. We need to make sure the name is consistent with what your page is about. Understand if people were searching for you would they find your page? And make sure you spell your page name correctly and don’t use unnecessary abbreviations. Username – Make sure it’s easy to remember and spell. Also try and make sure that your page username is consistent with other social media you use. About Section – Have you filled out the “About” section under your profile photo? Is it complete, or does it cut off mid-sentence? Make sure you embed your website link! Long About Section – When completing the “Long About Section” you must remember that this section is indexed by search engines so don’t forget to use relevant keywords and embed links to your website were possible. 2. Imagery One of the key Facebook Marketing Tips is to make sure that when someone lands on your page you make a great first impression. Therefore we want to make sure our page is visually attractive. There are three main areas to focus on here:
Cover Photo Profile Photo Tab icons
Cover Photo – Make sure your cover photo is high quality. It should also tell a story about you (or your product) and add some insight to what you are about and why you are unique. Profile Photo – Make sure that the branding of your profile photo consistent between your profile photo and cover photo. Tab Icons – Make sure you carry over the branding of your profile and cover photos into your tab icons. You should always try and have a congruent feel to your page. 3. Tabs After the cover photo, profile photo, title and brief description, this is the next area that visitors will look. You should take advantage of this ‘real estate’. You tabs should achieve the following:
Focus Consistency with Company Goals Driving Actions Value and Effectiveness
Try and focus on achieving one thing per tab – don’t over complicate. You should be using the top three tabs to funnel visitors into areas that are your company priorities. A tab is a place where you can have a call to action! Are you driving sales, increasing conversions or building a subscription list? If there is something specific that a visitor would want you should use your tabs to give it to them i.e. Free Gift … 4. Content Strategy This Facebook Marketing Tips covers all of the main content types that you share on your Page.
Variety Readability Engagement Consistency Volume Value
Variety – Make sure you post variety to your Facebook Page. Mix in blog posts, photos, status updates and videos. Try and keep it relevant to your page but remember if it’s something your visitors would find engaging then post it. Readability – Goes without saying, make sure your page is readable with proper punctuation and spelling.
Engagement – Make sure you engage your visitors! Ask questions and make sure you use Call to Actions. Consistency – This is a topic that may need a certain degree of understanding of your insights. There is no proven formula as far as I am aware of the perfect number of posts, how often and the best times to post. You need to create consistency in your posts and find out the best formula for engaging your fans – You need to look into understanding Facebook Insights. Volume – How often you post applies the same logic as Consistency. You should find a formula that works and possibly consider using a Post Planner. Value – Goes without saying – My Golden Facebook Marketing Tip – you need to make sure you give your fans and visitors value. People will not return unless they feel that what they are getting from you is worth their time and effort. 5. Other Functionality Facebook gives us a bunch of tools to help us with our marketing.
