Day 2 | Sunday | Explore Agra’s Walls of History. Begin your day early with a 2 1/2 hour train ride you Agra. You will be accompanied by your guide. Board your train from the New Delhi train station, just miles from your hotel at 6 am.

Visit the tomb of Akbar the Great—a famed Mughal emperor and get an up close look at the geometric floral designs that decorate the 5-story tomb and the impressive red sandstone gateway. Marvel in the detail of this historic space as you listen to stories from your guide about this fallen emperor. Afterwards, join your guide for an informative walk through Agra Fort, where you’ll learn about the Pearl Mosque and glass palace of Shish Mahal. Explore the grounds and learn about this iconic structure before enjoying a traditional India lunch at a local restaurant. After your meal, head to Meena Bazaar, where you can comb through rows of local artisans selling marble figurines, precious gems and other rare goods. Day 3 | Monday | Visit the Taj Mahal Rise-early and make your way to one of India’s most iconic structures and a true highlight of this tour of Agra. Follow your guide to the Taj Mahal, where you will be met with stunning views of this white-marble monument built to honour a fallen wife. Marvel at the shifts of colours on this increadible structure with the early morning light. You will witness the mausoleum in all its glory during a guided tour inside and around the grounds. The whitedomed monument was constructed by Shah Jahan, a Mughal Emperor, for his third wife. Learn the story of their love and admire the ornate interior designs before departing for Delhi. DAY 4 | Tuesday | Welcome to Kumaon Enjoy a relaxed morning at your hotel, New Delhi as you prepare for your action packed Himalayan adventure. You will be chauffeured to the airport at midday to board your short flight to the base of the Himalayas, Pantnagar. Upon arrival you will be chauffeured to your lodge in the foothills of the Himalayas. It is ideally set across from the Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve. Upon arrival meet your wildlife guide and host Ritish Suri. Ritish is one of the most seasoned naturalists of the Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve. Enjoy a refreshing hot bucket bath before a traditional Tandoori dinner as you are briefed about your wildlife adventure into the heart of the tiger reserve the following day. DAY 5 | Wednesday | The Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve Begin your exciting day early as your hosts prepare you for an overnight excursion into one of the most game-rich parts of the Jim Corbett tiger reserve, the Dhikala forest range. Witness this unique and carefully managed preserve with your insightful guide while exploring the Gharial pool, Champion pool on Champion road and high bank each one of them, great observation points on the western Ramganga River. As you overlook this grand panorama from your safari vehicle, your conversant guide will point out the various aquatic life in the crystal clear Ramganga River that include river otters, Gharials or fish eating crocodile, fish species including the Mahseer as well as other wildlife and birds that make their way to the river for a drink of water. Driving through the Dhikala grasslands, observe the varied bird and wildlife species found in the area as you are enjoying your guide’s in-depth knowledge of this vibrant eco-system.

DAY 6 | Thursday | Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve Enjoy a full day in the park exiting at 4 pm. You will be driven to your Himalayan lodge on route to the Saryu river for your fishing adventure. Accommodation: Te Aroha, Dhanachulli Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 7 | Friday | Drive to the starting point of your float trip After breakfast begin your drive to Ghat. On a clear day, you will enjoy views of some of India’s highest Himalayan ranges. Arrive at the river and begin your float trips and fishing hosted by Misty Dhillon. Arrive to a fully set Safari camp on the banks of the Saryu River. Accommodation: Safari Camp on the Saryu | Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 8 - 12 | Saturday through Wednesday | 5 days fishing on the Saryu | Float-trip Spend the next 5 days fishing for the legendary Mahseer with Misty Dhillon. Your guides will have you fish a number of beautiful & productive stretches of the Saryu River. End each day in the comfort of your ideally placed private camp, refreshing hot showers and delicious meals prepared by a team of camp chefs.

You will have the opportunity to visit some of the valley’s terraced villages perched on the hillsides, for a flavour of their almost self-sustained life in India’s Himalayan outback. The local temple, said to be a few hundred years hold has some tremendous history, if you wish to visit it. It is ideally located on the confluence of the Saryu and Mahakali river at Pancheshwar – the borders of Nepal & India. Accommodation: Safari Camp set on the banks of the Saryu River | Meals Included: Breakfast, lunch & dinner. Guided Activities: Angling, short hikes, village visits, temple visits , float trip and bird watching.
Day - 13 | Thursday | Depart for Delhi Depart early. You will be driven (7 hours) to the Pantnagar airport to board your flight to Delhi at 4:30 pm. This flight will get you to Delhi at 5: 30 pm.
