Resting upon the banks of the river Amstel this spectacular hotel is situated in a 17th century monument. NH Collection Doelen is the oldest hotel of Amsterdam and had and still have a variety of famous and artistic guests including Queen Victoria, The Beatles and the Empress Sissi who has a room named after her.

The 81 rooms are modern and mostly decorated in white. Light floods through the windows, however small, ricocheting off the snowy sheets, walls and curtains. From most rooms you have a beautiful canal view. Breakfasts are heavenly; a refined buffet selection of dainty pastries, cold cuts fit for a charcuterie and bowls full of fruit. The extensive breakfast buffet is divine, including toasted salmon bagels with ‘Franks’ smoked salmon and cream cheese as well as Dutch pancakes with butter and powdered sugar. Don’t miss the fresh vegetable juices and Barista-style made coffee’s.
