Hotorinite is located at an altitude of 1500 m, 2 hours by car from Tokyo Station. It is a 30-minute drive from the nearest streetlight, offering guests the perfect opportunity to encounter the wild animals living in the mountains.

Hotorinite is a traditional Japanese ryokan from which guests can enjoy the tranquil surroundings of the Yamanashi Prefecture. Its location is ideal for those keen on exploring the majestic mountains, misty woodlands and the three tallest mountains in Japan which are all within easy reach. It is also situated along the shore of Lake Otome – a scenic and spiritual lake where wild animals come to heal their wounds.

The ryokan features Japanese-style rooms with guests also enjoying complimentary access to four common rooms and one indoor bath. The rooms are immaculately cleaned, and the staff are always on hand to give advice from sightseeing information. An explanation of the surrounding history and culture, guided tours of nature are included in the accommodation fee free of charge. Dinner and breakfast are also included and are made using seasonal ingredients.
