FIELD STUDY PROGRAMME

Our MSc students in Malmö, Sweden benefit from a unique field study programme hosted by organizations, including, maritime administrations, port authorities, shipping companies, and a range of other governmental and non-governmental organizations, around the world. Field studies link the students’ academic and technical knowledge to practical experience providing them with valuable insights on professional practices around the world – knowledge that is unique to WMU’s students.

MSc students in our China-based programmes take part in field study visits that are nationally focused as the programmes have been created specifically for the maritime market in China. Destinations for the programme in Shanghai include locally-based shipping, port and other maritime institutions. For the Dalian programme, destinations include maritime administrations in Dalian and other regional cities.
