news Canada Nickel makes significant discoveries at Crawford Nickel Project
Canada Nickel Company has announced the initial results from its drill program testing targets located on its regional properties around its cornerstone Crawford Nickel Project.

The first two discovery holes at the Nesbitt Nickel property intersected visible disseminated nickel sulphides on a geophysical target that is 3.7 kilometres long and 100 to 300 metres wide, located just 8 kilometres north of the Crawford Nickel Project. The first two holes at the Mahaffy Nickel property and the first two holes drilled by Canada Nickel on the Kingsmill property intersected mineralized dunite across core lengths up to 417 metres. Assays are pending on all holes.
“This discovery at Nesbitt of sulphide mineralization just 8 kilometres from
Crawford is very exciting as it opens up the potential for another higher-grade source of feed for the Crawford mill,” said Mark Selby, Chair & CEO. “This discovery also further confirms the district scale potential of our properties. The success of our geophysical approach combined with the success in confirming the results of the historic Nesbitt drilling increases the potential for success following up on the historic 0.38% nickel interval at the recently acquired Bradburn/Dargavel target.” The Crawford Nickel Sulphide Project is located in the heart of the prolific Timmins-Cochrane mining camp in Ontario, Canada, and is adjacent to well-established, major infrastructure associated with over 100 years of mining activity. “These results highlight the success of our geophysical approach to define these hidden targets as we have intersected significant mineralization in every drill hole on our first three regional properties,” said Steve Balch, VP Exploration. “We will continue to explore targets on the other properties as we improve our robust methodology to rapidly evaluate prospects.”
US Gold Corp completes 2021 drilling at Maggie Creek, Nevada
Gold exploration and development company US Gold Corp has completed its 2021 core drill testing of a previously untested, deep Carlintype target on its Maggie Creek Project, directly east of Nevada Gold Mines’ Gold Quarry mine and processing facilities.
The company had originally planned two core holes from two different locations, but, based upon encouraging alteration encountered while drilling the first hole, decided instead to attempt to offset the alteration with an angle hole from the same drill pad. “We took a big swing based upon a different look at the local geology and proved there is a system there,” said Ken Coleman, the company’s chief geologist. “Very rarely are discoveries made in the first hole testing a new target. The results to date clearly warrant further exploration.” President and CEO, George Bee, said, “Having met our exploration commitments at Maggie Creek for 2021, we can now analyse the data and plan out our future program at this exciting target. We found the right rock package with significant alteration and we now need to pursue the gold.”
