Members Event: Granatelli Technical Drawings Showcase Friday, March 23rd, 6-8pm As a World of Speed Member, you are invited to a unique experience of viewing firsthand original technical drawings from the Andy Granatelli Technical Drawings Collection. Visit the education tunnel Friday, March 23rd between 68pm, enjoy refreshments and light appetizers while taking in some of the most ingenious and artistic technical drawing from the collection that showcase Ferguson’s part in developing the Novi as a rear engine Indy race car with four wheel drive and suspension; peak at the early plans for “project 104”, the turbine engine Indy car Parnelli Jones would later drive in the Indy 500. Check out supercharger parts developed by McCulloch Motors and Studebaker. Add don’t miss the original drawings by Offenhauser Engineering. The artistry of these hand-drawn technical drawing are not to be missed. Members are encouraged to take in these drawing in at their own pace. The Archive Volunteers who helped to inventory the hundreds of drawings in the collection will be on hand to answer questions and offer insights into the drawings on display.
