In autumn 2010, the association carried out a survey about the image of Scouting in Austria. 500 Scouts (aged 12-19) and 500 randomly selected young people were interviewed about the way Scouting in perceived. The outcomes (published on the Zllh\bZmbhg l p^[lbm^" lahp^] maZm 0+ h_ ma^ f^f[^kl bgm^g] to stay in the association for the foreseeble future and more maZg 2) ]^\eZk^] maZm ma^r k^ proud to be Scouts.

Membership has increased all across the age sections (with the exception of Scouts), the highest percentage being shown by Rovers. The total market share shows Z lb`gbĂ&#x203A;\Zgm bg\k^Zl^ pab\a translates to a healthy evolution of the entire association. The introduction of pre-cubs had a eZk`^ bgĂ&#x153;n^g\^ hg ma^ f^f[^kship evolution and their numbers continue to grow.

During the period the membership numbers in Portugal have remained fairly stable. There was a decline in 2005 followed by three years of increase after which the evolution turned negative again. The numbers reported show a lb`gbĂ&#x203A;\Zgm ]^\k^Zl^ bg Zee l^\tions except Rovers. Likewise the marketshare number dropped dramatically. The volunteers number (15) represents, most probably, an error in reporting. Ma^ 1ma L^k[bZg GZmbhgZe CZfboree - KegljY *()), celebrating 100 years of Scouting in Serbia, took place in the town of !abac, west of Belgrade, on the shores of the Sava river. It was attend^] [r ho^k + ))) L\hnml _khf Serbia and other countries. The event was a great success and it is hoped it will boost the image of Scouting in Serbia and will contibute to further improve the programme in the association.

The membership decline appears to be across all Sections with similar declines across the age ranges and amongst volunteers.

Over the period membership pZl [khZ]er Ă&#x153;Zm _hk ma^ Ă&#x203A;klm _hnk years with a very large increase in the last two years. Membership more than doubled between +))0 Zg] +))1 Zg] mabl bgcrease was maintained in 2009. This increase was across all Sections of the NSO mainly due to: - working with local authorities particularly in Istanbul - working in development camps in Istanbul and the South-East - creating a popular image among young people - very simple branding: red and white - new membership management software meaning more accurate reporting - building on the volunteer ethos As expected given the increase in numbers marketshare saw an increase across all age ranges in +))1' Mabl bg\k^Zl^ aZl \hgmbgn^] bg +))2 _hk <n[l Zg] L^gbhk Scouts, but has seen a decline for Scouts and Rovers.
