MENSAJE CLAVE DEL COMITÉ SCOUT INTERAMERICANO Estimados hermanos y hermanas Scouts La Región Scout Interamericana cuenta con un Plan Estratégico 2017-2018 que se alinea con la Estrategia mundial para el Movimiento Scout, integrando la Misión y la Visión , que enuncia que para el año 2023 seremos 100 millones de ciudadanos activos generando un cambio positivo en sus comunidades, basado en los valores compartidos del Movimiento Scout y las 6 prioridades estratégicas. Para el Comité Scout Interamericano y el Centro de Apoyo Interamérica fue primordial identificar las prioridades de trabajo para el próximo periodo en torno al Plan estratégico, y condensarlas para que ellas sean la brújula de nuestro camino.

Liderazgos Multigeneracionales Las OSN deben promover el diálogo intergeneracional como una estrategia para garantizar la continuidad de las acciones. También deberán mantener al Movimiento Scout actualizado, relevante y significativo dentro de sus comunidades. Para así poder tener representación e involucramiento de diferentes sectores, cumpliendo con el objetivo de ser una organización juvenil en la que los jóvenes participen activamente en la toma de las decisiones que los afectan.

OSN sólidas Para poder llegar a crecimiento sostenido se requiere ver a las OSN como la base principal. Las OSN sólidas serán aquellas organizaciones que cuenten con una buena gobernanza, que sean financieramente solventes, que cuenten con un reconocimiento positivo en la sociedad en la que se encuentran,que se encuentren posicionadas entre las instancias nacionales y que como consecuencia mantengan indicadores positivos de crecimiento.

Así es, como centraremos esfuerzos en el fortalecimiento de las capacidades en torno a las finanzas, la gobernanza y el impacto social de las OSN para que éstas sean más sólidas y modelo de diversidad e inclusión, a través de liderazgos multigeneracionales. Es por medio de las comunicaciones que lograremos trasmitir nuestras aspiraciones como Región en este período, en búsqueda de un crecimiento sostenido dentro de las OSN.

Comunicaciones Es importante que las comunicaciones se manejen como un eje transversal en todas las instancias. Esto será particularmente importante en el proceso de lograr OSN sólidas con liderazgos multigeneracionales. El Comité Scout Interamericano y el Centro de Apoyo Interamérica deberán comunicar eficazmente este mensaje a través de sus palabras, pero sobre todo a través de sus acciones. Nosotros, en la Región Interamericana podemos desempeñar un papel de liderazgo para conseguir la Visión 2023 de manera que podamos atraer a más personas al Movimiento Scout. Cada uno de nosotros debe comprometerse a hacer su parte, ya sea aumentando la membresía dentro de nuestras respectivas Organizaciones Scout Nacionales o simplemente, invitando a jóvenes a unirse a nuestra organización. Con ayuda de todos podremos llegar a los 10 millones de Scouts Interamericanos necesarios para alcanzar el objetivo primordial de los 100 millones alrededor del mundo.
INTERAMERICAN SCOUT COMMITTEE KEY MESSAGE Dear brothers and sisters in Scouting The Interamerican Scout Region worked in a Strategic Plan 2017-2018 aligned with the Strategy of the Scout Movement that integrates the Mision, Vision, that states by the year 2023 we will be a total of 100 million active citizens that will generate positive change in their communities based on the shared values of the Scout Movement and the 6 strategic priorities of Vision 2023. For the Interamerican Scout Committee and the Interamerica Support Centre, it was essential to identify the priorities for the next term around the Strategic Plan, condense them, so they can be the compass of our path for this term.

Multigenerational Leadership NSOs should promote intergenerational dialogue as a strategy to ensure continuity of actions. They should seek to keep the Scout Movement updated, relevant and meaningful within their communities. In order to be able to have representation and involvement in different areas, fulfilling the objective of being a youth organization in which young people actively participate in making the decisions that affect them.

Solid NSOs To be able to achieve sutained growth, we should see the NSOs as the foundation. Strong NSOs will be those that have good governance, are financially solvent, have a positive recognition in their society, are positioned among their national organizations and maintain positive indicators of growth.

This is how we will focus our efforts on strengthening capacities around finance, governance and social impact to generate Solid NSOs. They should reflect diversity and inclusion, through multigenerational leadership. It is through communications that we will be able to transmit our aspirations as a region for this term, in order to generate sutainable growth for the Interamerican Region.

Communications It is important that communications should be handle as a transversal axis in all instances. This will be particularly important in the process of achieving Solid NSOs with multigenerational leadership. The Interamerican Scout Committee and the Interamerican Support Centre must communicate this message effectively through their words, but above all through their actions. We in the Interamerican Region can play a leadership role in achieving Vision 2023, so that we can attract more people to the Scout Movement. Each of us should commit to do his or her part, either by increasing membership in our respective National Scout Organizations or by simply inviting one more person to join our scout group. We will be able to reach the 10 million Interamerican Scouts needed to reach the primary goal of 100 million worldwide with your help.
