CHARTER THE CARIBBEAN

ST. MAARTEN TO ST. MAARTEN

THE CARIBBEAN Seven Caribbean islands fall under French sovereignty, each with its own distinctive personality, style, and flair. Without question, one of the prime hotspots is the legendary island of Saint BarthĂŠlemy (St. Barths), a favorite among upscale clientele and Hollywood A-listers, promising everything from serenity and luxury to nightlife and boutique shopping. This volcanic island is home to more than 20 pristine white sand beaches, surrounded by verdant rolling hills and quaint coastal villages, and renowned for its quiet and scenic beauty, chic boutiques, and fabulous French-inspired cuisine. Just 25 miles northwest of St. Barths is the energetic island of St. Martin, where superyacht marinas abound and adventure awaits. The north side of the island is the French half, and as such, features open air markets, characteristic French bakeries, and charming waterfront cafĂŠs. For a more peaceful sojourn, make a stop at Orient Bay, one of the most exceptional beaches in the Caribbean, or explore the 12-square-mile National Nature Reserve. Whatever your desire, this suggested French Caribbean itinerary is sure to please.

ANGUILLA ON ARRIVAL ENJOY THE COBALT BLUE WATERS. The island is famous for its beaches – and deservedly so. The island’s 35-mile (68 km) coastline has 33 beaches, many of them among the best in the Caribbean. Their soft white sands slope into shallow blue waters as calm, soothing and warm as the islanders’ gracious welcome and easy-going attitude. There are beaches to match every taste. Many are secluded and quiet, a few are a little busier, some are perfect for gentle walking and others are coves that could have been designed for diving or snorkeling. They are all unspoiled and spectacular. If any of the party would be interested in a game of golf there is of course the famous Temenos Golf Club. This is an 18-hole Greg Norman signature golf course with fantastic views of St. Martin and the Caribbean Sea. The course is challenging and offers tiered greens sitting lagoon-side as well as elevated greens surrounded by water and protected by bunkers. Native plantings beautifully enrich this course. Caddies, carts, rental equipment are all available. —Let us know in advance if you would like us to organise this for you.
