DIVE ITINERARY

DIVE MASTER– HAMISH

Hamish has been the Bosun and onboard Dive Master aboard Valhalla since March 2024. Originally from London, England, he moved to Australia at 18, where he fell in love with the ocean and, most importantly, the world beneath the waves. With nearly six years of experience in the yachting industry, he has worked extensively on charter yachts in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, but the Bahamas is where he truly feels at home.

Hamish has always wanted to be beneath the waves. As a small child it was his dream to swim with sharks. Fast forward a few years and this is still his passion. Earning his bubble maker at 10 years old, his first dip into the ocean was in Gaansbai, South Africa to cage dive with Great White Sharks. Since then, he has dived extensively in the Bahamas, Caribbean, Florida, Europe and North Africa!

Hamish completed his Divemaster at the prestigious UDC in Utila, Honduras and often returns to help out guiding dives, assisting on course and of course to dive the beautiful reefs and wrecks they have to offer

He also is an avid freediver with a record depth of 132ft, and enjoys cleaning up the reefs all over of invasive species, such as lionfish, with his trusty pole spear!
