DOVETAIL, Contract #446, is the third to the last Trumpy built and the last of the desired houseboats. Commissioned by Mr. Earl Cantor, she was originally named GERIFAY and was used as a committee boat in the 1974 America’s Cup off Newport, RI. Later names, in the correct order, include LADY Q, HILLARY JANE, CARONIA, ZARYA, STATELY LADY, DISCOVERY, and fi nally DOVETAIL. Her present owner has continued the fi rst-rate custodianship of this very fortunate yacht.
