What is being said about the ABA reads ….. Fifteen-year-old Zoe has a secret - a dark and terrible secret that she can't confess to anyone she knows. But then one day she hears of a criminal, Stuart Harris, locked up on death row in Texas. Like Zoe, Stuart is no stranger to secrets. Or lies. Or murder. Full of heartache yet humour, Zoe tells her story in the only way she can - in letters to the man in prison in America. I loved Ketchup Clouds because you never knew what would happen. I loved the way the girl had a secret that kept you guessing. This is a book you can never put down, there is always another twist just around the corner. Ketchup clouds was a very good book with lots of twist and turns. I liked how there was a big surprise at the end.

One year after the suicide of their friend Janey, the rest of the group decide to spend the summer together in a holiday villa in the Mediterranean. They're hoping to get over the terrible events of the previous year, but then a new guest arrives, claiming to have evidence that Janey's suicide was actually murder. When the guest is found dead, it becomes clear that the killer must be one of the group - but who is it? And will they strike again? I love this book! It has so many unexpected twists. The story line is brilliant. It makes you keep reading you think you know the plot but keep reading as things are not as they seem! It’s not scary or gruesome but a young adult book. I love all the different characters and the way it’s laid out. This is the perfect Young Adult novel; it’s a traditional murder mystery in the form of a book. A group of friends meet up at a villa in Spain one year after their friend has committed suicide by jumping off a cliff. But was she pushed? A gripping read, with the most unexpected plot twist you’ll read all year!

Three years ago, Hannah's best friend Danny vanished without trace. Not knowing if he's alive or dead, she struggles to move on with a life shrouded in secrets and suspicions... But as hope returns to haunt Danny's family and their desperation is used against them, can Hannah bear to expose the painful truth? Or is it better to live in the dark? There is so much to enjoy in this story. The nearer the end I got, the more I realised how beautifully the different story-lines had been woven together, and yet the more convinced I became that there was no way it could all be tied up satisfactorily. And then it ended, and the end was both unexpected and rewarding. This book really kept me guessing!

You can't read, can't write, but you heal fast, even for a witch. You get sick if you stay indoors after dark. You hate White Witches but love Annalise, who is one. You've been kept in a cage since you were fourteen. All you've got to do is escape and find Mercury, the Black Witch who eats boys. And do that before your seventeenth birthday. Easy. The writing is very intense, very dark and I was HOOKED to every single word. My heart pounded loudly in my chest as I constantly raced to get to the next part. I loved the twists and turns, I was kept on the edge of my seat and it was fantastic in the way that I had no clue what was going to happen next. Can’t wait to read book 2. Half Bad is not your typical YA book about witches. It was refreshing and new and terrifying all mixed together to create a fantastic read

No one's coming for us. Not our families, not the police. No one.' Alyn, Jes, Ryan and Elsa are Nowhere. A concrete cube in the middle of a dense forest. Imprisoned inside are one hundred teenagers from all over the country. They're all criminals. But none of them remember committing any crimes. Who has put them there. What do their captors want? And how will they ever break free . . . ? Liked the use of flashbacks and memories to illustrate the plot. The characters were so engaging and the setting of the book was well designed. Couldn’t wait to read the 2nd one. I started this book expecting something amazing that I had heard about and had been waiting for, for years. Once I started, I couldn't put it down. I love the fact that the chapters are quite short because you can read a little and still feel like you've achieved something, almost like some kind of mini conclusion. However... that didn't happen, I just found myself in bed saying 'I can manage another chapter tonight... and another... and another'.

To read Camp David is to be truly shocked, as well as tickled pink, as David Walliams bares his soul like never before and reveals a fascinating and complex mind. This searingly honest autobiography is a true roller-coaster ride of emotions, as this nation's sweetheart unlocks closely guarded secrets that until now have remained hidden in his past.

Having fought their way back to what they believe to be their home world, Rev, GG and The Ape discover that they're now stuck in the nightmarish world of doppelgangers, surrounded by a town of super-powered killing machines. Johnson, Billie and the Moth are still trapped in the empty world. Alive, but with no way home. Can Rev get the misfits back together? And even if she can will she be able to do it before the world ends. Time is running out...And believe it or not that's the least of their problems.

New Additions The FINAL shocking, heart-wrenching book in the jaw-droppingly stupendous Skulduggery Pleasant series. Valkerie. Darquesse. Stephanie. The world ain’t big enough for the three of them. The end will come… The War of the Sanctuaries has been won, but it was not without its casualties. Following the loss of Valkyrie Cain, Skulduggery Pleasant must use any and all means to track down and stop Darquesse before she turns the world into a charred, lifeless cinder. And so he draws together a team of soldiers, monster hunters, killers, criminals… and Valkyrie’s own murderous reflection. The war may be over, but the final battle is about to begin. And not everyone gets out of here alive… Liam O'Connor should have died at sea in 1912. Maddy Carter should have died on a plane in 2010. Sal Vikram should have died in a fire in 2029. Yet moments before death, someone mysteriously appeared and said, 'Take my hand . . .

Seth drowns, desperate and alone. But then he wakes. Naked, thirsty, starving. But alive. And where is he? The street seems familiar, but everything is abandoned, overgrown, covered in dust. Heremembers dying, his skull bashed against the rocks. Has he woken up in his own personal hell? Is there more to this life, or perhaps this afterlife?

Ricky is a street kid – sharp, quick and usually up to no good. When he tries to steal from the wrong people, he is saved by a mysterious man called Felix who makes Ricky a compelling offer: a flat and a hundred pounds a week. All he has to do is take lessons from Felix. Soon Ricky finds himself learning about surveillance techniques, how to make himself invisible in a crowd and hand to hand combat. But what is this all for? Ricky has no idea until he’s given his first mission and finds his whole world turned upside down

New Additions The eighth amazing instalment of this brilliant series!

WOLVEN is a fantasy firmly rooted in the mysterious present. A boy and his eccentric grandparents live near a strange wood - apparently cursed. He longs for a dog - but the dirty ungainly farm creature finally found by his grandfather hardly fits his image of the perfect pet. And it howls in the night. But it's only when his dog starts to grow human ears that he realises that something is seriously wrong. The truth is stranger than his wildest dreams -the boy who appears, alarmingly unpredictably, is a kind of special werewolf in reverse. A noble, almost heraldic breed of WOLVEN - the kings own werewolves from ancient times, who have been in hiding until rediscovered by evil government scientists who are trying to breed werewolves as weapons
