Be Part of Our Story . . . Share the Vision Dear Friend, This November will be historic. We are on track to open this 430,000-square-foot museum to the world on November 17, 2017. Located just three blocks south of the United States Capitol, Museum of the Bible is a stunning museum with an aim to be the most technologically advanced museum in the world. The entire facility is centered around a vision to invite all people to engage with the bestselling book of all time—the Bible. Museum of the Bible’s traveling exhibits have been on display throughout the United States and in six countries worldwide, including Vatican City and Cuba. Our Scholars Initiative has made headlines by bringing together established and young scholars to pioneer groundbreaking research on items in the Museum Collections. And the public interest in the museum only continues to build as evidenced by a Facebook following that now exceeds some of the most prestigious museums in the world. We are very excited to be launching a new publishing initiative, Museum of the Bible Books, to extend the Museum experience to people around the world. This collection of beautiful and insightful books will bring to life the compelling story of the history, narrative, and impact of the Bible throughout history. The Museum – An Unprecedented Bible Experience This November, Museum of the Bible will open its 40-foot-tall bronze entry doors in Washington, D.C. Our museum collection will be showcased in a 430,000-square-foot building adjacent to the Smithsonian on the National Mall and three blocks from the nation’s Capitol. The largest single museum in Washington, and the first in the world to focus exclusively on honoring the Bible, the Museum will provide guests with an immersive and personalized experience as they explore the history, narrative, and impact of the most influential book in history.
