We understand that how and with whom you invest your money is one of the most important decisions you will make. Our robust investment advice service is tailored to your own individual needs and structured to help you achieve your investment goals. Our aim is to develop a long-term partnership, providing you with timely and valued wealth management advice.
Stage 1 – Getting to Know You It is important that we understand fully your financial situation and your objectives. We will: • Ask you to complete our client questionnaire, which looks at your existing finances, health and family situation. • Ask you to complete our risk profile questionnaire which will help determine your attitude to risk. To assist us with the delivery of our Investment Services we use a system called Dynamic Planner provided by Distribution Technology. Their tool allows us to analyse our clients’ attitude to risk using a range of psychometric questionnaires, and providing clients with a view of the consequences of their decision through the production of expected gains and losses based upon clients’ risk choices. • Write to any of your existing providers to obtain information on your policies.

Stage 2 – The Financial Plan Once we understand your needs and have agreed the amount of risk you are willing to take, we will build a financial plan to help you achieve your goals, which may include the following: • Assessing your existing investments to determine any that do not match your risk profile or objectives. • Selecting new investments which meet your needs. • Investing in the most tax efficient way. • Cash flow planning. • Preparation of a detailed report outlining our recommendations. • Second meeting to explain and discuss your report in detail. • Utilising our outsourced software to determine how your existing investments match your risk profile. • Selection of investment funds, within your stated risk profile. Stage 3 – Implementation Once we have agreed on a plan, we will implement that plan. We will: • Prepare all of the paperwork and liaise with the providers. • Keep you updated on the progress. • Arrange a completion meeting to run through everything.

Investment Advice Service Stage 4 – Ongoing Advice Service Whilst agreeing and implementing your plan is an important step, it is only the beginning of the process. Our ongoing advice service is vital to ensure your investments stay on track to help achieve your goals. It includes: • Forward planning meetings - these are often the most valuable part of our ongoing advice. It is at these meetings where we can talk in broader terms about all of your financial matters and we can act as a sounding board for any plans that you may have. It is often at these meetings that we discuss spouse’s details, parents’ situations including inheritance tax planning or care, children’s positions, gifting, using your tax allowances. These meetings are used for many things and we really do believe to get the most out of your ongoing advice service you should use this. • Investment review - we have set up an investment for you based on a specific objective and attitude to risk, but what if that changes? We will talk to you at your forward planning meeting to decide if we need to make any fundamental changes. Even if nothing has changed, our Investment Committee meet quarterly to review and discuss the performance of your investments to make sure that they are taking the correct amount of risk for you and that they are performing as they should be.
• Taxation and legislation updates - nothing ever stays the same and legislation is constantly changing. We keep up to date with everything that is going on and know how these changes may affect your personal circumstances. • Ad – hoc assistance - things can happen throughout the year and you can call us at any time to discuss any aspect of your or your family’s finances. • Withdrawals - sometimes you need to take out some money at short notice and you need to know where best to take this from an investment and tax point of view. We will help you with this and deal with the paperwork on your behalf. • Ongoing support - we will deal with all correspondence and administration issues. • Client communication - We don’t bombard you by email but we do like to keep in touch. We email our Wealth magazine quarterly and our Economic Review monthly, and update you around budget and Autumn statement time. We will then send out any articles that we feel will resonate with our clients.
