HERMITAGE
Storm clouds, rain, umbrellas … but nothing could dampen the warmth and enthusiasm that Hermitage villagers displayed as they celebrated our wonderful Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Ably master minded by Jan Pescott and Dave Whiteoak, beautifully decorated by Nicole Stanford and with vast quantities of delicious food provided by the village, it was a brilliant celebration of The Queen’s life. Roger Hervey made a touching speech reflecting the tireless and constant duty that our Queen dedicated to us all. The cake was huge, beautiful and delicious and it was so good to see our village celebrating together on the lovely village green. What a great bunch of people. We are blessed to live here.
