The Syrian Baker Saturday 16 October, Jubilee Hall On Saturday 16 October the travelling theatre company, Farnham Maltings, will perform their new show ‘The Syrian Baker’ in the Jubilee Hall at 8.00pm (doors open at 7.30pm). We have been lucky enough to host this company before to sell out audiences. Appropriate Covid measures will be in place. With almost 5% of the world’s population on the move, desperate to get away from trouble, this is a story of those who have decided to go home despite the state of their country. It’s a human story about coming home, knowing where you belong and how small actions can make a big difference in one’s life and in re-building a community. A piece about humanity, hope and courage told with affection, irrepressible humour and bread – because without bread nothing else will happen!
