COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Giving Back

TST recognizes the important role that charitable and non-profit organizations play in our local communities. TST offers every employee eight hours of paid volunteer time per calendar year. This year, we also offered all employees a company-paid membership to the environmental organization of their choosing. These contributions of time and money will help to build and improve habitats, maintain parks and trails, and clean up our oceans. We are proud of our employees’ dedication and impact.

Tour de Trees

The Tour Des Trees is an annual long-distance bike tour that serves as the primary public outreach, community engagement, and fundraising event for the TREE Fund. “The ride serves to advance the TREE Fund’s mission to explore and share the science of trees contributing to the lives of people, communities, economies, and the environment, and of the planning, planting, and sustainability of urban and community trees.” (Treefund.org)

The National Center for Employee Ownership updates an Employee Ownership 100 list each year – recognizing the nation’s largest companies that are at least 50% owned by an ESOP or other broad-based employee ownership plan. Our parent company, WSC, is the 26th largest employee-owned company in the United States.
