MU S I C S O FT WAR E FO R T H E I WB Simple to advanced, any platform, any IWB and most of all, fun! This session will go through a series of software apps for the interactive whiteboard (IWB), Web 2.0 tools, Flash files and lesson ideas to get you using your IW B musically and imaginatively.

1. LETS GET INSPIRED > MIDITrail Demonstration > The Robinator <http://vimeo.com/20130990> > Experience music from across the globe with Digital Pill <http://digitalpill.tv/> Do you have an IWB? Promethean? SMART? Other? And do you watch films, demonstrate lessons, annotate web/score content, send students materials, demonstrate excellent work with it? What do you use the IWB for? [MIDITrail 2 mins] ........................................................................................................................................................................ ........................................................................................................................................................................  As a package deal, IWB’s have the software and interactivity you want in your classroom. They bring an element to show & tell that extends beyond a mere projector. But there is one drawback – specific KLA materials. For example, no one would argue Sibelius 6 is great for score notation however would anyone deny its limitations when it comes to multi-track recording? Likewise, Logic Pro and Pro-Tools are exceptional DAW programs but not very good at photo editing. The point?  Do you know of any free ($0) or paid ($) applications that bring a specific focus to your lessons while using an IWB? Better yet, do you integrate these applications into your daily lessons so that students can participate using the IWB and come away learning visually, tactically & aurally the concepts you had planned? That is how I see interactive whiteboards and that is what this session will focus on:
