The policies and procedures implemented to reduce or eliminate contraband in a correctional facility would vary depending on the type of criminals housed in each unit. However, before implementing new policies and procedures, one must make sure each facility is staff properly with skilled professionals. The results will lead to employing trained officers and psychiatrist that will understand the offender's frame of mind.
