EBOOK MARKETING, CHEAP, CHEERFUL AND EASYPEASY! No doubt your book, service or product is the bees knees, but if no-one has heard of it, it may as well be the pits! If you are struggling to get the word out, ebooks could well be the answer. They are quick to write, easy to compile and are easily one of the best promotional tools you can have in your marketing arsenal. Not only that, they can be saleable commodities in their own right! This isn’t regurgitated marketing spiel, I’m talking from experience since I not only use ebooks to promote my online creative writing community, Writelink, but also sell ebooks as stand alone products. Both methods have worked very well for me and for many other people so there is no reason why you shouldn’t reap similar rewards. Many of you reading this will be unpublished or self published novelists struggling to make sales so this article has been written with you in mind, but in reality ebooks can be used to promote almost anything and if you spend some time browsing the web, you will see that they do! But let’s go back to our authors. Think about this … Even if your novel is published by a main stream publisher, you will be expected to do some promotional work yourself so marketing is going to play a huge part in your sales success or lack of it. That might sound a daunting prospect, but this is precisely where ebooks come into there own. They can be quickly written, easily distributed and cost almost nothing to produce except your time and the one tremendous advantage they have over other marketing methods is they can be formatted to contain a clickable link to the sales page of your novel, (or anything else!) Add this to the bottom of every page with a short, teaser extract from your novel and or include a full page advert at the end directing the reader to your novel’s sales page and your ebook becomes a powerful, traffic generating tool which will hopefully result in lots of sales. Another idea is to use your ebook to encourage readers to opt in to a mailing list which you can use to inform readers about useful updates or you could even split your ebook into sections like I did with How To EBOOK MARKETING, CHEAP, CHEERFUL AND EASY-PEASY!

Write Your Novel And Finish It and send it out by weekly/daily/monthly autoresponder. (Don’t panic! It isn’t difficult and needn’t cost you anything!) Take that same information and re-publish it as a video, slide show or audio presentation all of which can contain a clickable link pointing back to your novel’s sales page and you have even more opportunities to generate traffic and potential sales. There are hundreds of sites all over the web where you can post your ebooks, mostly free and with just a few clicks of the mouse. This is the way to give away free information in return for visitors either giving you their contact details or visiting your sales pages. It doesn’t stop there though! No doubt when you researched your novel you amassed a huge amount of background information. This is just the kind of stuff that will sell! Provided there is enough interest in the topic there is no reason why you can’t write this up and publish as a non-fiction ebook and sell it online. While I wouldn’t advise anyone to expect huge sales from a novel published as an ebook, non-fiction ebooks DO SELL and VERY WELL too provided you have selected a popular topic and targeted the right market. The beauty of these ebooks is once written and your sales system is in place, you don’t have to do anything other than watch the sales come in month after month! None of this is difficult to do and you can find masses of information all over the web on how to do it, but

It will take you a huge amount of time to wade through the plethora of half baked and ill-informed articles written by wide boys and dim-wits which consist of most web and blog posts, before you find the really solid information you need. If you’ve got the time, then fine, but if you’d rather be writing your novel or trying to find a publisher for it then it makes sense to take advantage of someone else’s hard work such as that done by Nick Daws.
