3 -M A J Ó W K A W R O C Ł AW 2017 3-majówka is one of the largest music festival in Wrocław, which since last year is connected with the Guinness Guitar World Record attempt. Among the stars of this year’s 3-majówka are the Ukrainian 5’nizza and The Cranberries. The audience will be taken on a journey around the film depictions of France by Gérard Depardieu as a rapper („Tour de France” dir. A I R B A G – c o n c ert It is going to be the third time the Norwegian band is visiting Poland. The band was founded in 1994 and started as a typical run-of-the-mill cover band. Since 2005, they have been known as Airbag – and they made a name for themselves with interesting songs of their own. Playing around the world and releasing four studio albums, they managed to create their own musical style, combining the influences of classical music, progressive rock, electronic music and the Scandinavian “element of melancholy”. A bienniale dedicated to art in the context of urban space. We are not going to present another curated exhibition, instead it is going to be the broadest possible “congress” of urban powers – long-established networks and intermingling environments, once typical for the counterculture in Wrocław. THE MUSEUM NIGHT MUSEUM OF ARCHITECTURE IN WROCŁAW Bernardyńska 5 Guided curator’s tours of the “Józef Hałas. The search” exhibition, as well as the display of works of the award-winning JEMS Architekci design office. The audience will also have an opportunity to participate in “The Search”, during which they will be able to compose their favourite painting by Józef Hałas themselves. NATIONAL MUSEUM IN WROCŁAW Powstańców Warszawy 5 The youngest visitors will see whether the museum is haunted or not, while the older kids will have an opportunity to participate in an interactive walk “In the Rhythm of DanseMacabre”, one of the many thematic walks offered on this special night, as well as a game On the Track of Mysteries and a lecture, discovering the secrets of a haunted museum and its collection. Additionally, the visitors will also tour the exhibition presented for the WRO 2017 Media Art Biennale.
ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM Traugutta 111/113 Exhibition “PE DROM BARO….. On the Great Road. From Gypsies to the Romani”, and an evening with the Romani music. The exhibition will be presented by the owner of the largest private collection of Romani artifacts, Andrzej Grzymała-Kazłowski. The evening will be concluded with a screening of a film about the Romani minority in Lower Silesia. PAN TADEUSZ MUSEUM Rynek 6 Wiesław Cichy and Rafał Kronenberger will read Romantic poetry, as well as works by Tadeusz Różewicz and excerpts from Jan Nowak-Jeziorański’s Kurier z Warszawy, Marzena Kowalska will play the piano, and the Bartosz Pernal Band will play in the backyard. Children will have an opportunity to take part in workshops and interactive meetings with the Avatar. Additionally, the permanent exhibition and a temporary exhibition “Stankiewicz – Różewicz – Stankiewicz” will be available to the visitors. WROCŁAW CONTEMPORARY MUSEUM pl. Strzegomski 2a A curator’s guided tour of the “Black Spring. Around Wrocław’s Independent Music Scene in the 1980s” exhibition, a meeting with Joanna Pawlik and a curator’s tour of the “Joanna Pawlik feat. Pill-Box”. Children and adults will also be able to play with PIKSELOZA – an installation by Patrycja Mastej, as well as visit temporary and permanent exhibition free of charge.

This year, the Fair will take place on Przejście Garncarskie Street, next to the House of Literature townhouse. This year, the event will feature dozens of publishers, presenting the best and the most beautiful books for children and youth. The programme will offer meetings with authors and illustrators, literary, artistic and educational workshops, creative activities with animators, as well as contests. Free entry
Similarly to the last year’s edition, we are going to enjoy two concerts, starting with the organisers – the Gospel Life choir led by Anna Maria Mbayo, followed by Gabi Gąsior & Holy Noiz. DEUS EX MACHINA – PREMIÈRE A monodrama by Jacek Zawadzki, based upon the idea of “deus ex machina” proposed by Euripides and an internal monologue, based on the works by Emil Cioran and Fernando Passoa, through which the protagonist uncovers his experiences and world view, presenting his attempt at solving conflicts between people.
