What inspired you to start making music?

Who are your biggest inspirations?

I started making making music as a hobby to pass the time during quarantine, so I took inspiration from the artists and bands I liked at the time, like Beabadoobee, Boy Pablo, and Phum Viphurit. My taste in music has changed a little bit over the past couple years, so my biggest inspirations now are bands like Modern Baseball, Ovlov, and Covet. I also grew up with my parents playing musical instruments - both of my parents played piano and my dad also played guitar, so I think they played a role in my interest in music.

What do you use to make music?

To make music, I use electric and acoustic guitars, my bass guitar, microphone, audio interface, and laptop, and I record audio using GarageBand. Sometimes, I try to experiment with different sounds, so I’ll occasionally use a midi controller, kalimba, melodica, or a metal slide or coin for my guitar to produce different sounds.

What genre would you call your music?

I’m still a little unsure of what genre my music falls under, but I would categorize it somewhere under indie rock or emo, since my music is very inspired by the midwest emo and emo-revival sub genres.
