By: Maridian Malynn GOING GOING GOING

Time didn’t stop, At least not literally. It kept going going going And now it’s january. First we were numb. Then we were sad, confused. And now We’ve moved on. So quickly. There are three lives we seem to have forgotten were lost. Normality has returned. No more burning candles. No more wearing blue. No more balloons drifting drifting drifting Away into the night sky. I don’t know how it happened It’s not for lack of caring Is this what healing is? Forgetting? I don’t want to accept that. I’m sorry boy, who never joined the army. I’m sorry girl, who never had her daddy-daughter dance to “Cinderella.” I’m sorry boy who was hurting hurting hurting So much that he made that decision I don’t want to forget you. But how can I heal then?
