Introduction Program Eligibility
The Western Sydney Academy of Sport is accepting nominations from athletes interested in nominating for a scholarship with the Academy's 2023/24 Future Stars Program
The Academy's Future Stars Program will provide development opportunities for talented young athletes in the western Sydney region
The Future Stars program is for highperforming athletes; who achieve consistent and sustained performance at a State or National level; and who do not currently fit into a currently serviced sport/squad program within the Academy structure
The program provides opportunities for athletes in the areas of education, Strength and Conditioning and personal development, preparing athletes for the next level of elite sport representation across all disciplines
Benefits
Athletes selected in the Future Stars Program will receive the following benefits:
Opportunities to attend educational seminars conducted by industry professionals including topics including nutrition, cyber safety and mental fitness
Strength and Conditioning functional assessment and an opportunity for ongoing individual S&C support with program partner HrdKaw Strength and Conditioning
Gym Academy athlete uniform apparel. Access to XPS Athlete management system
Opportunity to represent the Academy at various events
Insight into what it takes to become a professional athlete
To be eligible to nominate for the 2023/24 Future Stars Program, athletes must be:
Born between 2006 - 2011 (13-18yrs) Committed to progressing to higher representation within their sport
A current financial member of a local club or association affiliated with the relevant sport Currently residing in the Local Government Area (LGA) of Blacktown, Blue Mountains, Fairfield, Hawkesbury, City of Parramatta, Penrith or The Hills.
Costs
Athletes offered a scholarship within the Future Stars Program will be required to pay an Academy levy of $150 with all uniform costs additional The levy assists in funding education and personal development activities and S&C assessment and support
Any further costs associated with activities that may be organised will be advised during the program

Squad Selection: 31 August 2023
Induction: 2 December 2023
