An unimaginable finish in the Junior class in Franciacorta. After missing the Lonato race due to an injury, Lewis Wherrell (Exprit/TM) returned to the track immediately, going on to achieve pole position in the qualifying practices and proceeding to achieve three victories without any problems, a second place and a fifth in the qualifying heats. These results, combined with the prefinal A where he finished in fourth place, gave him the chance to start in front of everyone in the decisive final on Sunday. Wherrell did not waste this chance and, right from the start, firmly held the lead for almost the entire race. On the penultimate lap, Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM) tried to overtake the British driver, but it didn’t go well. The manoeuvre instead succeeded in the next passage, Stepan Antonov (KR/Iame) managed to pull it off. Wherrell responded at the last hairpin and returned to first place, but Niklas Schaufler (KR/Iame) outwitted both of them and won the race. Only after the podium did the stewards penalize Schaufler by 5 seconds for an incorrect manoeuver in the final stages, so Antonov inherited the victory. Wherrell and Dries Van Langendonck (Energy Corse/TM) completed the podium.

Un finale inimmaginabile nella categoria Junior a Franciacorta. Dopo aver saltato la gara di Lonato per un infortunio, Lewis Wherrell (Exprit/TM) si ripresenta in pista andando subito a firmare la pole position in qualifica e procede, senza intoppi, con la conquista di tre vittorie, un secondo posto e un quinto nelle qualifying heat. Questi risultati, uniti alla prefinale A chiusa in quarta posizione, gli valgono la possibilità di partire davanti a tutti nella decisiva finale di domenica. Wherrell non spreca questa chance e, fin dalla partenza, mantiene saldamente il comando per la quasi totalità della corsa. Al penultimo giro, Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM) cerca il sorpasso sul britannico, ma non va a buon fine. La manovra, invece, riesce nel passaggio successivo a Stepan Antonov (KR/Iame). Wherrell risponde all’ultimo tornante e ritorna davanti, ma Niklas Schaufler (KR/ Iame) beffa entrambi e vince la gara. Solo dopo il podio, i commissari sportivi penalizzano Schaufler di 5 secondi per una manovra scorretta nelle ultime fasi, così Antonov eredita la vittoria. Wherrell e Dries Van Langendonck (Energy Corse/TM) completano il podio.
