Featuring the tastemakers in music, entertainment, fashion and food, Taipei Electrified celebrates W Taipei’s debut both as the city’s hippest new destination and as major new addition to W’s rapidly growing worldwide portfolio – currently holding at 41 hotels worldwide. The event concept ‘Taipei Electrified’ fuses and ignites all of the elements that define W Hotels globally as the category innovator and industry leader – from music and entertainment to fashion and design. Hot DJ’s, directed by W’s Musical Director Michaelangelo L'Acqua, will spin beats and music throughout the night. W’s exclusive fashion collection, Global Glam curated by W’s Global Fashion Director Amanda Ross, will take the runway at W Taipei after its reveal at New York Fashion Show in February. Global Glam takes hotel designs of different W Hotels around the world as inspiration. This season’s collection was inspired by W Austin, W Mexico City and W Taipei, featuring works of Taipei designer Twinkle by Wenlan Chia, a fresh face on the international fashion scene. Throughout the hotel, forward design will set an extraordinary environment with interactive pixilated light exhibits created by Zigelbaum Coelho, W’s Designers of the Future, who will be on hand to engage with guests. W Taipei, which opened to the world on Valentine’s Day, February 14, is ideally situated in the midst of the energetic Central Business District of Xinyi. Destined to become a stylish, buzzing meeting place for Taipei’s trendsetters, business leaders and discerning world travelers, W Taipei is offers 405 spacious guestrooms showcasing spectacular urban views and views of the city’s iconic Taipei 101 building. The hotel’s design idea was inspired by the sourrounding nature and the buzzing city summarized, “Nature Electrified”. This idea influenced the design of all key features, from the signature restaurants and W lounge to guestrooms that are each designed to meet the needs and desires of the modern world traveler.
