WBCN and the American Revolution

Between 1968 and 1974, this radical underground radio station amplifi ed the social, political, and cultural happenings of the time. WBCN staff were instrumental in conveying what was going on in society on the airwaves by refl ecting the countercultural scene, militant anti-war activism, civil rights struggles, and the emerging women’s and LGBTQ liberation movements.

Over the next several decades he masters the left-hand repertoire in secret before a chance discovery of his talent leads him toward making his concert debut. Aged 78, he will perform the greatest work in the canon: Ravel’s Piano Concerto for the Left Hand.
