• Belleville, Ill., astronaut Sandra Magnus visits the St. Louis Science Center at 1:30 p.m. Magnus, who recently completed a four-and-ahalf month trip on the International Space Station through Expedition 18, will present a post-flight presentation. She will also submit her handprint for the Science Center’s collection of bronze cast of astronauts who’ve visited the St. Louis attraction. The event is free and open to the public. • The St. Louis County Library presents the Estate Collection and New/Used Book Sale. The event features rare books from estate collections, books for all ages and a silent auction of rare, first edition and autographed books. All proceeds will benefit the St. Louis County Library Foundation and Ready Readers. • The top 10 finalists from “American Idol” make a stop at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis to perform live. Performers include Adam Lambert, Kris Allen, Allison Iraheta, Anoop Desai, Danny Gokey, Lil Rounds, Matt Giraud, Megan Joy, Michael Sarver and Scott MacIntyre. The show starts at 7 p.m. and tickets range from $37 to $66.
