Introduction
PRiNT is a unique branding concept developed to increase workshop profitability and professionalism. It allows your business to personalise Würth products with your own company logo on the label! Versatile enough to be used in both garages and dealerships, it is designed to increase your customer awareness and loyalty through advertising, and also create a profit centre for a consumable product. Würth offer a choice of three products that are highly useful in the industry: Handy lube 150ml Screenwash 250ml Air freshener 100ml (supplied with handy point of sale box!) These products can either be booked to the job and charged as part of a service, or sold over the counter creating a further profit centre.
With new technological advancements, service intervals on new vehicles are further apart than on older cars, which means garages and dealerships are having to find other ways of generating revenue. The PRiNT concept gives you a chance to boost profits as well as advertise, keeping your company in the forefront of your customers’ minds.

Concept
Products which apply to a service can be booked and charged to the individual job, saving you money and creating profit. The products have a bespoke part number and incorporate into the existing parts system, so they are controlled as a part not as a consumable.
After a service, the remainder of the product can be left in the customers’ vehicle to advertise your business. Every time the customer uses it they think of your company!
There is a genuine requirement for the product as part of a service, which as well as creating profits for you, also shows the customer that you have correctly maintained their vehicle. There are also retail possibilities as the products can also be sold to the customer over the counter, creating a further profit centre. The air freshener is especially suitable for this and is supplied with a handy point of sale box!

Layout
On the order form there is a grey box showing the print area of your label artwork. Within this grey box you must specify which elements you would like to include in your design, in the order you would like them to appear. This is a great opportunity to advertise your business and it’s services! Elements to consider including on your label are: Company logo Manufacturers logo Strapline List of services offered Address Tel no./website/email Please bear in mind that the more information you wish to include on your label, the smaller each element will become to fit in the space provided. Some options may not apply to your business, or perhaps all the options apply. Perhaps you wish to apply all options on a small scale, a few on a larger scale, or somewhere in between. Try to imagine what your label might look like in your chosen layout. Don’t worry! Once this form is completed and the artwork supplied, a proof of your label will be made for you to check before printing.

Proofs
What is a proof? A proof is a document sent to you for checking before the printing process. You MUST check all elements of your label are free from errors, including colour, spelling and imperfections. It is important to thoroughly check your proof because if any errors are found after a proof has been approved, there may be a fee for changes. A proof of your label can be sent to you in a choice of either a traditional hard proof (digital print) sent by post or as a soft proof (PDF format) sent by email. Würth recommends that you request a hard proof as this is the best way to check you label is correct. Please check the terms and conditions of your chosen proof.
Why choose a hard proof (digital print)? A hard proof is the best way to check you label because ‘what you see is what you get’. The proof will be a high quality digital proof supplied by the printers and will be identical to the final product. Advantages of a hard proof (digital print): •High Resolution •True representation of colours •‘What you see is what you get’
Why choose a soft proof (PDF)? There are many limitations in an electronic soft roof that are not present in a traditional hard proof, so please read the following: Limitations of a soft proof (PDF): •Low resolution •False representation of colours Please be aware of these limitations when viewing your soft proof. There is a chance the final product may differ from the soft proof.
How do I check my proof? Always check proofs in good light. Follow these steps: Are all of the elements present? Are all elements in the correct place? Are there any spelling mistakes? Are all pictures correctly placed, scaled, and cropped? Is each element in the correct colour? (n/a for soft proof) Are there any imperfections such as spots or broken letters?
How do I mark up the printers’ proof? You must clearly mark any corrections to be made. When marking printers’ proofs make sure all corrections are clear. Mark up corrections in pen. Never write corrections or instructions on stick-on notes attached to the proof, they may become detached. Never put correction fluid over a mistake. Simply strike through the mistake and write the correction clearly.
Where do I send my proof? Once your proof has been checked it MUST be signed and returned to Würth for the attention of the PRiNT Coordinator. A soft proof must be printed, signed and returned by fax. A hard proof must signed and returned by post. Do not fold up the proof for posting. Roll them or use a large card-backed envelope, this will prevent the proof from becoming damaged in transit. Please note that by signing the proof you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of that proof. Please check the terms and conditions..
