McKelvey School of Engineering

At the McKELVEY SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING, you can push the boundaries of what it means to learn. As a world leader in research and education, we’re solving some of the greatest challenges in the environment, health, and artificial intelligence.

Learning extends beyond the classroom. You can turn an idea into a product, company, or social movement with help from our facilities, competitions, and other design resources. Or you can join other students in building race cars, rockets, or robots; inspire young students to study STEM; and so much more!

When you graduate, you’ll join a global alumni network of more than 23,000 industry leaders, including NASA’s former chief astronaut, a Nobel laureate, and the cofounder of Block, Inc. (previously Square).

The BEYOND BOUNDARIES PROGRAM is for students who want to address challenges that do not reside in the territory of a single discipline. Collaborative problemsolving lies at the heart of the program. In your first year, you’ll take interdisciplinary courses and a group seminar. You’ll learn from experts and peers in different fields and work together to address real-world problems. Along the way, you’ll develop the tools to critically understand and make a difference in a complicated world. beyondboundaries.wustl.edu
