APRIL 2017 The Mountaineers claim their first team win, taking the title at the East Carolina Invitational
Sharpstene shoots a then-program low round of 64 to lead the Mountaineers to another win at the Martin Downs Collegiate in Palm City, Florida.

NOVEMBER 2017 Freshman Matthew Sharpstene becomes the first Mountaineer to ever win Big 12 Golfer of the Month after his play at the Ka’anapali Collegiate Classic in Lahaina, Hawaii.
