Student-Athlete Development

WVU was named a recipient of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the fourth straight year. In addition, 10 student-athletes received Academic All-Big 12 honors, a program-best showing, while Natalie Winter landed on the 2019-20 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team. Katie DeMeo also was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 Volleyball Team for the second year in a row and earned the Dr. Gerald Lage Academic Achievement Award by the Big 12 Conference, the league’s highest academic honor.
