» The West Virginia University baseball team finished 25-27 in 2021, including 8-16 in Big 12 Conference play.

» Senior left-handed pitcher Jackson Wolf earned All-Big 12 Second Team honors, while senior catcher/outfielder Paul McIntosh and junior outfielder Austin Davis were honorablemention selections. Additionally, freshman left-handed pitcher Ben Hampton and freshman infielder Mikey Kluska landed on the Big 12 All-Freshman Team.

» Wolf finished the year with 104 strikeouts, good for No. 49 nationally and No. 3 in the Big 12. It also sits No. 10 in singleseason program history. He became just the fourth WVU pitcher to tally a 100-strikeout season since 2000.

» In all, the Mountaineer pitching staff finished with 535 strikeouts, good for the fourth-most in one season in team history.

» As a team, WVU ranked No. 14 nationally and No. 2 in the Big 12 in strikeouts per nine innings (10.6), as well as No. 32 in the nation and No. 3 in the conference in stolen bases (77). The Mountaineers also sat inside the nation’s top 50 in triples, finishing at No. 48 (14). » Sophomore outfielder Victor Scott’s six sacrifice flies were good for No. 25 nationally and No. 1 in the Big 12, while his 20 stolen bases ranked No. 45 in the country and No. 2 in the league.

» West Virginia earned its highest-ranked win in program history with a 5-4 victory at No. 2 Texas on May 20. The club matched the feat six days later with a 5-1 win over the Longhorns at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship on May 26.

» WVU won multiple games at the Big 12 Championship for the sixth time in the last eight tournaments, including five in a row.

» On April 11, coach Randy Mazey won his 250th game at West Virginia with an 8-4 triumph at Baylor. Mazey is the fourthwinningest coach in WVU history.

» The Mountaineers finished 15-12 at Monongalia County Ballpark in 2021, marking its seventh consecutive winning season at the venue since it opened in 2015.

» A program-record 12 players named to the 2021 Academic AllBig 12 Baseball Team, including eight first-team selection, also tops in team history.
