Section 4 – Policy 2 Date of Issue: January 2013 Date of Review: January 2015

Policy Statement The Brain Injury Network of South Australia (BINSA) is committed to ensuring that all staff and Committee of Management (COM) members act ethically, responsibly and always in the best interests of the organisation. In relation to conflicts of interest, BINSA will require all COM members, staff, volunteers, students on practicum placement and contractors sign a declaration that attests they understand what a conflict of interest is and that they will be bound by the management of any actual or perceived conflicts of interest. BINSA will ensure no individual involved in BINSA’s governance or operational activities will be involved in any decision making process so that the identified conflict of interest has no effect on the services and or activities of the organisation. Grievance procedures must be utilised if there are issues/grievances with BINSA. Such grievances must not be discussed with clients, their families, the general public, other staff, volunteers, students and/or contractors. NB: Staff includes volunteers and students on practicum placement.
