ThefellowhastoassistthePIintheexecutionoftheaboveprojectwhichincludes microbiological,biochemicalandinvitrocellculturebasedtechniques.Fellowis also responsible for day today project documentation and management, preparationofreportsandmanuscriptsforpublication.

1. Essential Qualification
AsperCSIRguidelinesforResearchscheme(www.csirhrdg.res.in)
BS 4 years programme/Integrated BS-MS/M.Sc. or equivalent degree with minimum 55% marks in Food Science/ Food Technology/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry/MicrobiologywithNET-LS/GATEqualifiedinthe relevantsubject.
2. Desirable qualification: Expertiseinmicrobiologicalandmolecularbiologicaltechniques.
3. AgeLimitand Relaxation
Not more than 28 Years. Theupperagelimitisrelaxableupto5yearsfor SC/ST/OBC,WomenandPhysicallyChallengedcandidates(asperCSIR,Govt.of Indianorms).
4. Fellowship Rs. 31,000/- per month (for first two years) and Rs. 35,000/- per month (third year, upon upgradation)
House rent allowance (HRA) and Medical allowance (MA): In addition to stipend,thefellowwillbeentitledto:(i)HRA,asperPondicherryUniversityrules, providedhe/shehasnotbeengivenhostelaccommodation(stipendpaid/payable willbetreatedaspayforthepurposeofHRA),(ii)MA,asadmissibleasperthe rulesofthePondicherryUniversitytoitsemployees(thiswillbelimitedtothe fellowonlyandnotforfamilymembers/dependents).

(i) Only Indian citizens are eligible for research fellowship. (ii) The award of fellowshipdoesnotimplyanyassuranceorguaranteeforsubsequentemployment byCSIRoratPondicherryUniversity.(iii)Thepostisentirelytemporaryandhas been sanctioned for the execution of the project. The services of the selected candidatewillbegovernedbytherules/regulationoftheCSIRandPondicherry UniversitybuthewillneitherbeanemployeeoftheCSIRnorthePondicherry Universityandshallhavenoclaimforanybenefitwhatsoeveronthataccount.
