June Essential: Master’s degree in Genetics/ Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Botany/ Zoology/ Biotechnology/ Life Science/ Nematology with 4 or 5 years Bachelor’s degree with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average in Bachelors and Masters degrees. Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent or Ph.D. in any of above disciplines (As per ICAR memorandum F.No. Agri. Desirable: Good Knowledge of genomics and proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems, Linux directory control commands, Awk-Shell scripting string commands, Perl / Python programing, R-Bio programing and working on the R workspace, hands on experience in Next-Generation sequencing data analysis pertaining to assembly, alignment, Expression analysis, Pathway and Ontology based annotation and data representation and visualization 12th Pass with a minimum 2 years of experience in field work of growing various crop and vegetables, plant and nematode associated work.
