Buddy for a Day John R. Wood Agent Marjorie Ebert spends her volunteer time with the Guadalupe Center, whose mission is to break the cycle of poverty by providing educational, social and other support programs and resources to children.

Children who participate in and complete the after-school STAR program also get to participate in Buddy Day, which is a fun-filled field trip. This year, the trip was to Hideaway Beach on Marco Island with five events for the children, as well as lunch and snacks. Marjorie participates in this program as a “buddy” and enjoys every minute of it!
