Prestashop Gift The Product Addon gives the benefits to both, the customer and the consumer. This module will absolutely help the merchant to increase the sales of the store and on the other hand, it will surely get the customers benefited by offering them products for free. Benefits: 1. Increasing sale of the store. 2. Customer’s engagement towards your site.
3. Reduction in cart abandonment. 4. Admin can create multiple price rules at the back end to give different products as gift. This Prestashop Gift the Product addon will be one of the best options for the merchant to get the customers to his store. Administration Module: In this, you’ll see following options to configure this Gift The Product module:
1. General Setting 2. Price Rules General Setting: This admin will have the following options in this interface: 1. Enable/Disable: This option has a toggle button with two specific values, i.e. YES and NO. This module will only work if this is set to YES. If you select NO, then none of the features will work. By default, this option is set to NO. You’ll need to select YES. 2. Show Recently Viewed Products: This option also has toggle button with a YES and NO values. If you want to show the recently viewed products by the customer under the gift products list, then switch to the YES option. 3. Gift Product Category: In this option, all the available products in the category are listed. These products will be considered as gift products. You’ll need to select the category. 4. Exceptional Product ID: If you want to exclude certain items from the list of gift products, all you have to do is - type in the product ID in the Exceptional Product ID. For multiple exclusion, separate the ID’s with a comma. 5. The Layout of Product Listing: In this option, you are allowed to select how to list the gift products on the front end of the page. There is three layouts available:

6. Layout Preview: In this field, the admin can check the preview of how the listing will look like. 7. Maximum Gift Products: This is the total number of products which will be shown on the front end. This will only be applicable when you select the 3D Circle Layout or Slot Machine Layout. 8. Custom CSS and JS: These fields have been given to the admin so that he can change the look and feel of the front end of the module.
Price Rules: In this section, the admin will have to make the following price rules that will decide the gift product. 1. Price Rule Name: Here, you need to enter the name of the price rule that you want to be saved. 2. Minimum Cart Amount: Now, the admin will have to set the minimum cart amount to decide the gift products. 3. Minimum Gift Product Amount: In this field, the admin will have to enter the minimum product amount of the gift products. 4. Maximum Gift Product Amount: Lastly, the admin will have to enter the maximum product amount of the gift products. The Gift products which will be in between the entered price range will be shown to the customer in the front end. This is how the Price Rule section looks like:
On clicking the edit button, a form will appear Where you’ll have to make the desired changes. This is how the Price Rule form looks like:
Front End Module: Once the module is enabled, a block will appear just below the cart summary on the front end saying “CONGRATULATIONS!! YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO GET ONE OF THESE GIFTS”. This block will include the gift products according to the price rules which have been decided by the admin in the back end. Layout: Below is the types of the defined layout which can be used to display the gift product on the front end.
Slot Machine: Here, the customer just needs to click on the Start button and the Stop button will appear at the place of Start, click on that. After this, “Add Gift” button will be shown at the same place, click on “Add Gift”. This is how it’ll look like:
3D Product Circle:
In this layout, the customer will have to just click on the desired product. By doing so, a confirmation dialogue box will appear whether the customer wants to add that gift or not. By clicking on OK, the product will be added to the cart.
