The Venue The seminars will take place in the beautiful Ashbourne Marriott Hotel in The Royal County Of Meath in Ireland. We chose this venue due to it central location to many Irish Clubs, its close proximity to the Airport and a 30min bus journey to Dublin City Centre. The hotel has many bars, and restaurants and is also a great place to relax before or after your training.
Getting Here From Outside Ireland
Dublin Airport Is Only 20 minuets away from the Training Venue. If you are coming by boat, sail to either DĂşn Laoghaire or East Wall. If you sail to Wexford or Cork you will have a very long journey ahead of you unless you have a car. Wexford about 2 hours and Cork about 3 hours. To get the best deals with flights, book very early.
From Inside Ireland
Ashbourne is situated in South East County Meath. From the M50, Exit Finglas/Derry/Ashbourne. Head North and stay on the Ashbourne bi-pass until you reach the end of it. ( Takes about 15 mins from the M50 ). The hotel is then straight in front of you. From Louth Area : head towards Duleek area then look for Ashbourne. From West Ireland : Head to Dublin and to the M50. From Cavan / Derry area : Head Towards Navan then Look for signs to Ashbourne.
The Party Your visit to Ireland would not be complete unless we had a party. And a party is one thing us Irish do rather well. The venue for the party is only two miles away from the training venue. It is a lovely pub with an amazing atmosphere. We have booked the function room with entertainment for Saturday the 28th January from 8pm til very late. Admission is €10 per person which includes a buffet style meal. Admission to those who have attended the weekend training is FREE.
Swans Pub, Curragha Co.Meath Owner Patsie Swan
“Swan’s Bar is owned and run by the Swan family. It is situated in the historic and picturesque little village of Curragha in the Royal County and is one of Meath’s oldest music venues. It is a place where people and music from different generations and cultures meet to create one of the most unique Irish Pub experiences Ireland has to offer. The secret to our success is simple; to look after each person, not as a customer, but as an old friend, and with good drink and good craic, they’ll always come back. So whether it’s a quiet pint in front of a roaring open fire; a mouth watering visit to our old sweet shop; soaking up the craic, music and banter in our bar; enjoying old-time waltzing and jiving in Patsy’s Lounge; visiting Paud O’Donoghue’s historic forge, or simply watching the world go by in our beer garden, Swan’s of Curragha is the place to be”, Pat Swan - Jr. THERE’S NO SUCH THING AS STRANGERS - JUST FRIENDS YOU HAVEN’T MET YET! WE LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING YOU ALL.
Transport
Ireland has a reasonably good bus service. There are buses at the airport that will bring you to Ashbourne. You could also get a bus to Dublin and a bus back out again to Ashbourne.
You can pay for your bus trip directly to the driver. Each trip costs about €5.
Outside the airport there are hundreds of taxis. You will be guided to a waiting area and asked how many people you want the Taxi for. The larger the group, the cheaper it will be to share the costs. The taxi trip to Ashbourne will take about 20 minutes. However, the cost of a Taxi in Ireland from the airport will cost about €40. If you have a group of people, get an 8 seater taxi as the cost is only about €5 extra but you have more people to split the fair between. All taxis can issue receipts. You should ask for a receipt at the end of your journey. All taxis are licenced by the government.
There is NO train service from the Airport to Ashbourne.

Things To Do If you have never been to Ireland before, you are in for a real treat. Ireland is like no other country. We use the word “Craic” ( pronounced Crack ) alot in Ireland. This mean several things. For example : “What’s the Craic?” Meaning : How are you? OR What’s happening with you? Having the Craic. Meaning: Having a great time. Great Craic. Meaning Having a great time. The Craic was 90. Meaning : Had a great time. So, I hope you will have the Craic when you are here:
Master Joe 20 Things To Do When In Ireland. 1: Have a pint of Guinness 2: Visit The Hill Of Tara (The home to the High Kings Of Ireland of time gone by ). 3: Have another Pint of Guinness. 4: Visit Dublin ( While there, go to Temple Bar & Grafton Street ). 5: Have one more Pint of Guinness. 6: Visit Newgrange ( the oldest man-made building in the world - older then the pyramids ) 7: Sure you are on holiday - time for another Guinness. 8: Visit Howth. A fantastic working fishing village. 9: While there, have a pint of Guinness. 10: Visit Tayto Park. A bit like the Zoo but different. Very near the training venue. 11: It’s getting late now, so, a pint of Guinness might be in order. 12: Visit Rathbeggan Lakes. About 20 mins from the Ashbourne Marriott Hotel. You can do some fishing there. 13: Did I mention that you should try the Guinness while you are here. 15: Visit a GAA club to watch a bit of Irish Football. Not like soccer, it takes a real man to play GAA. 16: Now they won’t like it if you leave the GAA club without having a pint of Guinness. So, you better have one. 17: Take in a Game of Golf. Not my sport but I believe Ireland has some of the best Golf Course in the world. 18: A game of golf would not be complete without a pint of Guinness. 19: Take a Viking Splash Tour in Dubiln or visit Dublinia a true Viking experience. 20: And round of the day with a lovely black pint of Guinness back at the hotel.
