Flagship stores Urban Area
This public park is popular for residents living near and favored as resting place for even visitors and pet owners. In the park, there is a memorial hall for Dosan Anchangho who dedicated his whole life for historic Korean independence against Japan empire. It is free for visitors, but not always popular due to monotonous and unchanged contents. Surrounding area was known as specialized as flagship stores area. In fact, through field research, it was discovered there were many flagship stores where people could involve, participate and had chance to experience different company's products and released new items.
History Dosan Park
Setting Goals
Dosan Anchangho is one of main leaders who led Korean Independence successfully from Japan in early 20 century. This public park was established in March, 1970 to encourage korea citizen with Anchangho's patriotic spirit and national education spirit. Area : 29,974m2

Design Principle To pull people's step into the commuinity center, building needs to be simple and straightforward. At the same time it should be functional for each artist to have appropriate studio size for working and exhibiting. Some artists require big studios. Comfortable working and enjoying environment for artist and visitor can be achieved by dividing private and public places properly

Final Dicision Shape High Fidelity To The Criteria The basic module consists of 36m2, one exhibition room and private work room. Each artist can display his/her art pieces in exhibition room. Some artists need more space for their exhibition or work place. Providing diverse size of studios with basic 18m2 module could meet their needs.

premium social enterprise cafe
Each artist has their own exhibition room which has a big transparent glass that visitors can see through from aisle and hall. Having fully secured private place where artists can focus on their works without disturbance of visitors, they have working room behind the exhibition rooms. 4 different ground floor entrances absorb people's steps into the building from difference sides. Hall(light pink on plan map) is mutual exhibition places for volunteer aritists in same floor. Also, art pieces such as paintings or scultures would be hung on the wall of aisle. Moreover, in cafe visitors and artists can take a rest and have meeting while enjoying arts works. The cafe is a sort of premium social enterprise cafe in this area with relatively lower price. (In Korea, disadvantaged people have priority for cafe operating right in public facilities) On fourth floor, outdoor rest place will give nice view toward public park and provide total relaxation.

Pear Flower village have had many conflicts between different groups concerned in redeveloping plan. Pear Flower village could not find common ground for redevelopment. In 2016, Small Village Making program was launched under local government's support in order to revitalize small villages. We visited the village every week and developed our idea in studio. Even though our team encountered unexpected problems and could not fully solve old rancorous relationship between residents parties, we establish a foothold for the future union of village. We met many people, heard many stories, and achieved unbelievable progress for the Pear Flower village.

Youngdeungpo Regional Development 5 Sub-Project
The railroad that runs through the east and west of the site is sharply separating north and south of Yeongdeungpo. The mere connection is only S shape overpass.
As part of urban regeneration, however, this overpass is going to be totally removed. Our team recognized this overpass as one of key opportunity for integration.
And as you follow the overpass, you end up at Industrial Heritage that keeps traces of architecture of flour factory.
Also, we classified regeneration areas into 5 parts based on opportunity.
Daesun flour factory has lost its original function and remains in the limelight. Also, red light district still prevails, enticing people at night and acting as a factor that inhibits growth of Youngdeungpo.

"Without someone with a real ideological commitment, it didn't seem we were on any trajectory to become a spacefaring civilisation." - Elon Musk
This course was one of my favorite class. In this course, students could broaden their horizon to future urban planning and up-to-date urban planning trends. We discussed about new technology with which we could do brain storming for alternative urban potentiality. Each person selected the most favored theory and developed, for instance, VR, 3D printing, Hyper Loop, autonomous vehicle, Smart city, IOT technology, multi-layered development, submerged city, floating plastic city on ocean, space city, Mars city and so on. The course adopt interesting evaluation scheme : after listening to the presentations of all the students at the end of the semester, the students and professors became investors and chose favorite presentations or ideas to invest. Followed by the underwater city, my presentation and ideas were ranked first. All the colleague and professor agreed on the necessity of finding a new settlement and nodded their heads to a plausible colony construction plan in Mars. Most people still don't know how far the Mars city plan has progressed. By keeping an active stance on urban planning in Mars, I want to be a first Mars city planner in near future. More info, check this out https://www.marscitydesign.com/

Unlike Earth, Mars has bumpy surface and much harsh condition. However, the recent discovery that we can obtain water on Mars and scientific research that there are many materials for Sulfur Concrete which can be a construction material has led to the realization of the planet's colonization.
Urban Structure Analysis
Comprehensive New Form I devised evolutionary urban structure that can be comprehensive of these three phases. The core concept is connection between residential space and common use space. Unit of living space is 10m radius sphere. Basically, three residential spheres form the basis for building common use spaces.

Moveing along inside rail, 3d printing rotbot arm finish building rail at the same time. Then, they create the outer walls of the buildings by moving along outside rails. The robotic arm comes down to the ground along the rail and climbs up the rail with pre-made construction materials and attaches it to the exterior of the architecture. All work can be done thanks to 62% less gravity.
Three residential units and spiral construction rail
Hard exterior with hexagon forms At the same time, several 3D printing robots can work together. The lack of load support can be solved by building additional structures.
In the public space, scientific experiments, physical education, plant growth, and various social interactions take place. As the space is directly connected to the individual space, safety and effectiveness of place is maximized. Construction 3D Printing Robot

SPORTS FACILITY
By activating existing green spaces as ‘nodes’ along a linear grid of water canals, urban farming green and park connectors, the HDB ground-floor spaces are enlivened to enable ‘ageing in place’.
green-collar economy
Active green spaces (urban farming) within existing HDBs helps create a green-collar economy enabling ‘aging in place’.
