‘Profoundly moving… marvellous’

In a Norfolk vicarage on Christmas Eve 1947, the vicar’s family gather for the festive season. Peace and goodwill radiates from the warm-hearted elderly vicar, cared for by his young daughter. But with the arrival of two irritable aunts and an errant daughter, the social veneer is revealingly peeled away. As skeletons tumble from closets and stones are turned over, family members are forced to confront their regrets and secret anxieties. Even the lovable vicar is not immune to the stresses and strains of a normal family life.

Rhod Gilbert

G2: Definitive Genesis

Dave Gorman

MUSIC You have to be a little bit mad to want to replicate the layered, complex sound of 1970s Genesis and G2 have been doing just that successfully for 7 years. G2: Definitive Genesis pays tribute to the Vintage period in Genesis’ long and colourful history, the four-man era, The Intermediate Years (1975-78).

COMEDY In 2009, Dave Gorman set off on a unique national tour. The intention: to cycle over 1500 miles across Britain in 33 days… with a gig each night. I suppose that explains the title. But demand for the show has been so high that he’s decided to keep performing it… but this time without cycling from venue to venue. He’s obviously getting lazy. So now only the last bit of the title makes sense. But look at it from his point of view. Same show, fewer blisters. Dave – whose hit Radio 4 series, Genius, started its BBC2 incarnation on our TV screens in spring 2009 – may be widely acclaimed as the pioneer of documentary comedy but with this show he’s gone back to his roots as a straight up, one-man-and-a-mic stand-up whose material is ‘mercilessly sharp and original.’ (The Times.)

And The Cat That Looked Like Nicholas Lyndhurst COMEDY Following last year’s sellout tour and sensational performances on The Royal Variety Performance, Live At The Apollo, and Michael Mcintyre’s Comedy Roadshow, the Welsh Wonder is back. Last year, he punched a shop-assistant over the duvet tog-rating system and went berserk over a mince pie. Stung by accusations that he over-reacts, this year Rhod sets out on an emotional rollercoaster of a journey to discover the truth. Is he, as he believes, a visionary in a sea of closed minds, or has he, as everyone else believes, got angermanagement problems? Total sell-out, Edinburgh 2005-2008. If. Comedy Nominee 2008. One of the hottest names in stand-up today.

‘Without doubt one of the best comedians anywhere in the world right now.’

Dance On A Volcano, Ripples, Entangled, Los Endos, Blood On The Rooftops, One For The Vine, Afterglow, mixed up with the classics of the Gabriel years, Firth Of Fifth, Cinema Show, I Know What I Like and the infamous Supper’s Ready. So take a trip back and relive those wonderful moments of your Genesis musical history with G2. Tickets £16.00 Friends of Wycombe Swan £1.50 off
