MAGIC IN THE MOONLIGHT

THE RIOT CLUB

12A | 97 mins | USA | Director: Woody Allen Starring: Colin Firth, Antonia Clarke, Natasha Andrews

15 tbc | 106 mins | UK | Director: Lone Scherfig Starring: Sam Claflin, Natalie Dormer, Douglas Booth

Set in the 1920s on the opulent French Riviera, Woody Allen’s new romantic comedy tells of a master magician (Colin Firth) trying to expose a psychic medium (Emma Stone) as a fake. What follows is a series of events that are magical in every sense of the word and send the characters reeling. In the end, the biggest trick Magic in the Moonlight plays is the one that fools us all.

Directed by Lone Scherfig and based on the play ‘Posh’ by Laura Wade, The Riot Club is set amongst the privileged elite of Oxford University and follows two first year students determined to join the infamous Riot Club. The club is famed for its ritual drunken debauchery, lawlessness and often violent behaviour during its exclusive dinner parties each term.
