A day in quarantine with an international student

It had been few weeks since Covid-19 epidemic started breaking out in Europe. People’s lives have changed dramatically, including me, an international student studying in Vaasa. As soon as the first case was confirmed in Vaasa, the school decided to move all the lectures online. Thus, my quarantine life started.
I earlier considered going back to China just in case more strict travel policies are imposed. However, most of the flights were cancelled. And the rest of the flights were extremely unaffordable. So staying at home was my only choice. Since two weeks ago, without any particular reasons, I stayed in my apartment as much as I can. I have only been outside for two times for shopping. Each time, I bought food for about one week. That’s kind of heavy to carry from the market to home. In the rest of the time, I study, rest, cook, some time talk to my cat. I found it really difficult to study efficiently at home. Typically, I read something for about 15 minutes. Then I think I must get some water/ drink. Then another 15 minutes reading before I found my new vacuum cleaner seems fancy. So maybe one benefit this quarantine brings to me is that I never kept my apartment this clean and neat. And thanks to the modern technology, I am not disconnected from the society. I am still in contact with my family and friends all over the world
In the end, I really hope everyone can make through this. Be save! If you want to find something interesting to do during quarantine, scan the QR code and get some inspiration!
