Can you feed my toddler or change my baby’s diaper?

Bring the kids fed and in a clean diaper or potty trained so you may maximize your workout time. For safety, food, drink, and gum are prohibited. Water in a spill-proof plastic cup is ok. We will come get you for your child’s diapering or toileting needs.

Who is staffed?

Childcare is supervised at a staff to child ratio of 1:6. The maximum number of children permitted in Childcare at one time is 18. Staff may use discretion to lower that number based on the age and needs of participants.

TRAILS MAPS FAQS

www.WylieTexas.gov/Parks

700+ Acres of Parkland and Open Space

In those parks, you’ll find over 16 miles of trails, 18 playgrounds, and 11 pavilions available for reservation, soccer fields, baseball fields, football fields, a ninehole disc golf course, a cricket pitch, and much more. Over the next few years, the Parks and Recreation Department plans to continue implementation of the 2012 Trails Master Plan, which will increase the miles of trail in Wylie to better connect you with your community.

BIRMINGHAM FARMS PARK 725 ODENVILLE DRIVE

A scenic ½ mile concrete trail connects the park’s main area to Sanden Boulevard just north of Brown Street. A modular play structure in the playground provides recreation opportunities for children, and parents can enjoy the outdoors on the nearby benches.

RIVERWAY PARK 1200 RIVERWAY LANE

Located in the Sage Creek neighborhood of Wylie, the park was named by students at Groves Elementary School. The park boasts a playground, shelter pavilion, picnic tables and charcoal grills. The Parks and Recreation Division also maintains a concrete trail of approximately ½ kilometer in length leading south from the Park. Riverway Park is a popular destination for picnics and playdates.

For information about Wylie athletic field and park locations, amenities, trails, master plan, and reservations, visit www.WylieTexas.gov/Parks.

PHEASANT CREEK PARK 2700 LAKE TERRACE DRIVE

Located in far southeast Wylie, the park provides a ribbon of green space for the Pheasant Creek Addition. In 2012, the City of Wylie received a grant from Collin County to begin developing the park. The City chose to concentrate on the northern edge of the park, and began installing improvements in the spring of 2013. In 2018 a new irrigation system was installed at Pheasant Creek Park. The park now boasts a playground, pavilion and the first leg of a trail that may eventually connect to Rockwall County. Solarpowered lighting fixtures have been placed in the pavilion and along the trail to provide for light after hours without requiring the consumption of fossil fuels.
