Heroes and Villains Concert
A collaboration between LCCC’s music, theatre and arts departments will bring a captivating event exploring heroism and villainy. Heroes and Villains is set for 7:00pm, March 5, in the Surbrugg/Prentice Auditorium, 1400 East College Drive. The event is free and open to the public. The performance includes the Jazz Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, Cantorei Choir, Collegiate Choir and the Wind Ensemble. In addition to the musical offerings, Heroes and Villains will include paintings from LCCC art students. The paintings will be on display in the auditorium lobby on the day of the performance. Zonta Club Seeking Applicants
Applications for the 2023 Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Award are now available from the Zonta Club of Cheyenne through its website www.cheyennezonta.org. Deadline is March 15. The goal of the YWPA Award Program is to encourage young women to participate in public affairs by recognizing a young woman’s commitment to the volunteer sector. The recipient of the club’s award will be awarded $1,500. Their application will then be sent to Zonta District 12 and be reviewed for another possible $5,000 reward. The application for the YWPA award along with instructions for submission may be found on the Zonta of Cheyenne website at www.cheyennezonta.org. The local award recipient will be selected no later than April 1.
Wyoming Disability Awareness Walk

Youth Alternatives Foster Grandparent Program
The Office of Youth Alternatives Foster Grandparent Program is looking for tutors/mentors that are 55 years and older to work with children in a classroom setting that need extra support. Foster Grandparents make a difference in the classroom as well as the lives of children in our community and earn an average of $300 per month in a nontaxable stipend. (Some qualifications apply.) Silent Witness Crime of the Week
The Cheyenne Police Department is investigating a recent surge of burglaries where criminals are targeting valuable items left inside of vehicles.
In the past 30 days, we have received more than 50 reports of these incidents throughout Cheyenne. In over half of these cases, vehicle windows were broken, while others gained access through unlocked doors.
Officers are contacting persons of interest and detectives are actively pursuing leads. We encourage citizens to exercise caution anytime vehicles are left unattended. Do not leave valuable items or firearms inside of parked vehicles and always remember to lock up.
Additionally, video evidence can be very valuable in these investigations‚ we recommend installing surveillance cameras in a location that captures parked vehicles. Anyone with information or surveillance video of these crimes is encouraged to contact the detective bureau at (307) 637-6513.
Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers Silent Witness at 638-TIPS or silentwitnesslaramiecounty.com. You may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.

He loved to go fishing, hiking, and bowling whenever he had the time. He also spent most of his years volunteering at the local community center Charles is survived by his wife, Kate; daughters, Emma (Andrew) Smith and Scarlet (Tony) Ford; son Anthony (Pearl) Rogers; grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Ellie Ford, Joey, Talia, and Julia Rogers; brothers, Manuel and Chad Rogers; sisters, Kathr yn Perr y, Catherine Jones and Kayla Smith; cousins Joseph, Jeffrey, Felix, Hanna, and Amy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and older sister, Amy Wilkinson.
