VS. WITTON ALBION RES. 22nd November 2014 Cheshire League 2

Latest News MANAGER’S THOUGHTS Today we welcome Witton Reserves, not sure what to expect but I’d rather concentrate on ourselves. The squad has exceptional talent; we have already reached the quarter-finals of the County Cup and the Altrincham Senior Cup, whilst we top the group in the Challenge Cup and most importantly, we’re top of the league. However nothing is won yet and we need to keep the strong performances going. I hope everyone enjoys the game and stays for a drink in the bar afterwards. Lee McGregor, WTFC 1st Team Manager

The Football club promo evening was a fantastic night attended by some of the ex and present players, social members, managers, sponsors and invited guests. The evening started by our chairman giving an over view on the club and future plans including the development of the ongoing connection with Fleetwood town FC and the new football academy Lee McGregor followed with a profile of the season so far and the importance of our junior section going forward. Special guest Jess Mortimer Manchester FA followed Lee with an insight into the football foundation and what it means being a community football club how the club obtained the funding together with the guidelines and targets set out by the FA and foundation to club with who are obligated to achieve as part of the terms and conditions of being awarded the grant. Rob Wynes the club football development officer then provided an overview on our junior section discussing last season and future development and growth. Congratulations to Aidy Burns who won the ÂŁ50 bar tab on the evening. The presentations was ended by our chairman who thanked everyone for attended and gave a special thank you to Chaz & Val and daughter for kindly providing the lovely buffet on the evening. Finally we were entertained by a comedian Lester Crabtree who had every one in tears of laughter.
