Long wait ahead for Mull’s new high school

New schools for Mull and Islay are long-term plans, a councillor has warned.

There is discussion among islanders about where a new high school on Mull should be - in Tobermory or nearer to Craignure to be handier for families living on the Ross of Mull. But Councillor Mary-Jean Devon told the meeting: ‘We are being a bit premature here. We’ve not even talked about a feasibility study. The next two schools to be replaced are Mull and Islay but there is no money at the moment.
